Since his first steps in the world of art, Vincenzo Corti (Bergamo, 1952) has created pictorial works mainly on air, participating in some provincial competitions and obtaining positive feedback from critics. He soon abandoned his art to dedicate himself to his family, without however losing his passion and desire to paint. Thus, in his free time, he continues to dedicate himself to painting, exploring different self-taught techniques, always looking for what would express his state of mind and his inspiration.

He soon abandoned his art to dedicate himself to his family, without however losing his passion and desire to paint. Thus, in his free time, he continues to dedicate himself to painting, exploring different self-taught techniques, always looking for what would express his state of mind and his inspiration.
Corti presents his works with his first solo exhibition at the Sofi Gallery, in which he chose works inspired by his childhood, mainly expressions of dreams he had in adulthood and linked to his father figure, but also to images of the Bergamo peasant life in which he is grown up.
Figurative images, often with broad or delicate oil brushstrokes, capture the horizon, where colors and shadows fade at sunset or dawn. The use of oil gives energy to the paintings which often seem to pierce the canvas, becoming material at the sight of the spectator who remains enchanted by snowy landscapes and relived memories. The figures, often hovering like ghosts and shadows in the frame of the canvas, tell of past times, lived experiences and almost unspoken feelings. Also on display are charcoal pieces in which rural life is presented, through the toil of work in the fields, thoughtful faces, hugs and hopes stolen from the wind.
